In 2005, DNJ (Diaspora Network for Japanese) has introduced an interdenominational portal site “http://www.dnjonline.org/“ in order to support Japanese Christians and Japanese missionaries oversea (called "diaspora Christians"), as well as returnee Christians searching for a local church. Many Japanese churches registered for the web site and promoted their congregation on it as well.  DNJ has worked closely with various Interdenominational Ministries and Christian Information Network such as Bridge Builders Networks (BBN) since 2005.

DNJ has hosted monthly prayer meetings, a few DNJ Forum events and DNJ Returnee Conferences in Japan. Global Prayer Network has used these events as their reunion events, and they promoted missionary support for DJ around the world in these events.

DNJ has recently announced "Action in DNJ," which will be launched in three years. With BBN's support, DNJ has promoted All Nations Returnees Conference (09.03.19-22 in Tokyo) and Diaspora Project for Japan Congress on Evangelism, JCE5 (09.09.21-24 in Sapporo).
