FIFA Worrld Cup 2010の開会式(2010.06.11)で、ネルソン・マンデラ大統領のHopeを歌う予定であったテナー歌手 ヌツシェベ・シフィー氏が、大会直前の2010.05.25にポート・エリザベス病院で急病のため召天されました。
34歳の早過ぎる死に、ご家族や大統領をはじめ、祖国南アフリカと英国のクリスチャン、クラシック音楽を愛好し讃美歌を愛する世界中の多くのファンが悲しみの中に主を見上げます。
