Christmas Greetings from Madrid, SPAIN
Christmas, 2007
We just wanted to express our thanks to all of you who have shown such a generous interest in our lives as well as in the Japanese ministry in Madrid, Spain. Thank you so much for your prayers. God surely listens to our prayers, has sustained our lives, and carried us throughout this year. We have been blessed so much from the Lord, and in order to see clearly how much we have received, please let us count the blessings in this year. (1) We were able to visit Japan to be united with my family, be able to know how our beloved friends are (Mr and Mrs U) as well as visit our church families. (2) Mr and Mrs U's baby boy was safely delivered. (3) Our health was protected. (4) Naomi's teeth were finally taken care by a friendly female dentist who is specialized in children's dental care. (5) Our 5-year-old car is still faithfully running and we were able to fix the problems. (6) Our land load has been very kind to us, fixed problems quickly when necessary, and did not even raise the rent. (7) Jorge's preparation for the driving school teacher has almost finished. (8) My work condition (the duty and the salary) has been greatly improved since the beginning of this academic year. (9) A young Japanese lady, Ms O was baptized in June at Immanuel Baptist by Pastor Dixon. (10) When Hanna and I were attending the 24th annual Japanese Christian Conference in Milan, Italy, we were lead to volunteer to host the 27th annual Japanese Christian Conference in 2010 in Madrid. (11) I was approached to see a possibility of teaching preschoolers at Japanese Saturday School for next academic year. (12) Jorge and I see the same necessity of moving closer to the girls' school, and are now looking for a flat to rent in Alcobendas. (13) The girls are doing extremely well at school and we have heard positive comments from their teachers. Their language skills (Spanish/English/Japanese) are slowly developing as well. (14) We will miss Hanna and Seppo who are moving to Finland next year, but the Lord has already sent Yoshie and Fernando to be co-leaders of the ministry. (15) The girls started to voluntarily pray for their own petitions. Now they are praying for their school friend's baby cousin who is critically ill and hospitalized. What a blessing to see our own children pray wholeheartedly for others. God is good all the time. Let us not lean on our own understanding, but His wisdom and provision.
